HISTORIC FAIRMONT HEIGHTS HIGH SCHOOL
STATUS

On April 29, 2025, the Prince George’s County Council voted to approve the transfer of Historic Fairmont Heights High School (FHHS) to the Redevelopment Authority (RDA) which has an organization that is prepared to purchase/lease the building. The next step is for the County Executive to sign the transfer over to the County. This company plans to reuse the facility as a Production and Education Center. The FHHS Alumni Association is in full support of this revitalization effort.
