Election of 2024 Alumni Association Officers

Five (5) Nomination Committee members from the General Body, will be appointed by the President, FHHSAA to serve on the 2024 Nominating Committee two (2) months before the election year. The Nominating Committee members will begin gathering nominations from members who are in good standing with the FHHS Alumni Association for elections that will held in July 2024. All Nominees must be in good standing by May 1, 2024, in order to be considered. This means that all Nominees must have paid their Alumni membership dues in full in order to participate in the election process.

All Nominations must be submitted to the Chairperson, Nominating Committee on or before May 3, 2024, at the following email address: fhhsaaelection.24@gmail.com or received in the mail at: 2024 FHHSAA Nominating Committee, P.O. Box 2727, Landover Hills, Maryland 20784-0727. The Nominating Committee must obtain the consent of the nominees before placing their name on the ballot.

The Nominating Committee will present a list of nominations of candidates for circulation to the membership who are in good standing. The Secretary will send the list of nominations to the General Body members who are in good standing at least two months prior to the General Meeting held in July 2024.

The Nominating Committee will verify that the nominees are in good standing, prepare BALLOTS, send out BALLOTS at least 60 days prior to election, and receive BALLOTS 30 days prior to elections.

  • MAIL-IN BALLOTS will be mailed to FHHSAA members in good standing without an email account by May 16, 2024. EMAIL BALLOTS will be emailed to FHHSAA members in good standing by May 16, 2024.
  • If only one candidate is named for an Office, the election may be by voice vote at the Annual General Body meeting.
  • If more than one nomination is made for an Office, the Secretary will prepare ballots for use at the election in July 2024.
  • MAIL-IN BALLOTS or electronic ballots for the purpose of electing Officers must be received by June 16, 2024, which is thirty (30) days prior to the Annual General Body Meeting in July 2024.
  • All FHHSAA members are hereby notified that the Nominating Committee shall nominate no more than three (3) candidates for each Office to be filled.

You may pay the required dues and/or renew your membership via check or money order and mail to the FHHSAA, P.O. Box 2727, Landover Hills, MD 20784-0727, or submit a payment for dues via CashApp $FHHSAA2727.

ALL OFFICES are open for nominations. Current Officers may also run for re-election. The term of Office will begin August 1, 2024, and will expire on July 31, 2026 or 2028. A proposed change (Amendment) to the Constitution and Bylaws’, Term period for Officers from two (2) years to four (4) years is included on the Ballot. Below is a list of current officers. Please note that the nominated slate of Alumni Officers will be voted on by the FHHSAA membership in good standing (Lifetime members, 5-year, 3-year, and one-year memberships that have not expired by the date of the meeting) at our Annual General Body Meeting on July 16, 2024, at the Cedar Heights Community Center, 1200 Glen Willow Drive, Seat Pleasant, MD 20743 at 6:30 p.m. (to be posted on https://fhhsaainc.com).
